Walker found dead

A MAN died after walking in the Simonside Hills yesterday (Sunday).
Police were called to Simonside Crag at about 3.50pm on Sunday, after a 66-year-old man was reported to have breathing difficulties.

Mountain Rescue, Air Ambulance and RAF Boulmer were also called to the scene.

The man, believed to be from the Chester le Street area was taken to Wansbeck Hospital by RAF Boulmer where he was later pronounced dead.
