THE trial of two Alnwick brothers accused of attacking a mother has been postponed.
Ronald Murray, 53, of Cawledge View, and his brother, William, 60, of Victoria Crescent, deny charges of affray, common assault and possessing an offensive weapon after an alleged assault on Julie Gibson on March 15 this year.
The trial began at Newcastle Crown Court last month, but has been postponed because the estimated length of the trial was increased.
The brothers will stand trial at the court on Monday, January 19, 2009.
