STAFF and shoppers at Rothbury's Co-op have raised £2,000 for charity.
The money will be given to the Great North Air Ambulance which helps save lives across the North East, Cumbria and North Yorkshire.
It was raised during 2008 after staff held fun days, fancy dress days, raffles and a sponsored walk – all supported by customers.

Kevin Burdis, store manager, said: "The Great North Air Ambulance Service provides a crucial, life-saving service for people and is very important for rural areas like Rothbury.

"As a community retailer, we are really pleased to be giving something back to a charity that helps people across the region and we would like to thank all our customers for helping us raise a tremendous £2,000."
