AROUND £11,000 was raised at Seahouses Lifeboat fete on Monday.
Crowds flocked to the event at the lifeboat station and enjoyed the attractions including amusements, a china-smashing stall, pop group The Parish and Amy Winehouse look-alike Amee Winehouse.

The lifeboats performed a rescue demonstration and a helicopter from RAF Boulmer winched a crewman to safety.

The event was busy and the rain held off till the end.
Refreshments were provided in the boathouse with organisers reporting record takings.

Ian Clayton, lifeboat operations manager, said: "At the end of the event, it was estimated that takings had reached £11,000 with some further takings yet to come in. The event was hailed as being very successful.

"The station staff and crew would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who either helped, contributed, donated or supported the fete. Without their efforts, the event could not have taken place. A very heartfelt thanks to everyone."
