WORK is yet to start on a discount supermarket at the Station Industrial Estate in Alnwick.
Lidl was given planning permission for a store in October 2006 but, despite talks with Alnwick District Council, no movement has yet been made.

A spokesman for Lidl said: "Lidl are currently in the process of discharging the planning conditions and we are proposing to commence phase one of the construction stage in the coming weeks."
