A BORED youth who carved his doodles on the side of Amble's new flagship business centre has landed his mother with a £120 bill.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was caught on CCTV inscribing letters and shapes with a rock into the stonework of the Fourways2 at Dilston Terrace on Saturday, July 19.
Appearing with his mother before Alnwick Youth Court on Monday, the 13-year-old pleaded guilty to a charge of causing criminal damage.
The panel heard that staff arriving for work on the Monday noticed the scraped images on the side of the building and checked security cameras.
The youth was arrested soon after and fully admitted the offence, saying he did it because he was "bored".
As well as being ordered to pay compensation to Amble Development Trust, which owns the building, the teenager was made subject to a three month referral order.
