Passenger dies in crash

A PASSENGER who died in a car crash in north Northumberland on Friday night has been named as 24-year-old James Buckham from Wooler.
Mr Buckham, of High Fair, was travelling in the front seat of a Fiat Brava heading south towards the Cheviot Hills town when it crashed on a right hand bend near Low Humbleton.
After ploughing into some boulders, it then overturned and landed on its roof.
Mr Buckham was airlifted to Wansbeck General Hospital by RAF helicopter but died later from his injuries.
The 19-year-old driver of the Fiat, from Alnwick, suffered minor injuries and was detained in hospital overnight for observation.
Fire crews from Wooler and Berwick also attended the scene.
No other vehicle was believed to have been involved.
Floral tributes were laid at the crash site for Mr Buckham, who leaves a young daughter, Maddison.
One read: "You'll be such a miss, can't bring myself to believe you are actually gone.
"You were such a lovely lad, I have got lots of great memories that I will never forget.
"You'll never be forgotten."
Northumbria Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened around 8.30pm, to contact them on 03456 043 043, extension 61374.
