LITTLE Grace Marie Elliott is playing the generation game.
The tot, just three weeks old, has taken an Amble family into its fifth generation.
And it was high fives all round for the family which is celebrating the arrival of a fifth generation – for the second time.
And it's fair to say that women rule the roost in this family.
In a show of girl power, all 10 generations have been women.
The family's oldest member this time round is great, great grandmother Mary Evans, 77, and amazingly both sets of five have come from her side of the family.
Baby Grace's great grandmother is Barbara Gray, 54, while Kerry-Ann Wilkie, 36, is her grandmother.
Her proud mother is Sarah Louise Wilkie who, 18 years ago, marked the first instalment of five generations.
The oldest member that time round was Mary Ellen Bell, 78.
Sarah, partner of Gavin Elliott, said: "Grace was born on August 9 in Wansbeck Hospital. She's absolutely champion.
She added: "Having five generations is not very common. And it has happened twice in 18 years. It is amazing.
"It's just great to be part of it."
So what is the secret of five generations?
Barbara, who lives on Percy Street, said: "We are a really close and happy family."
