AN electronic dance music producer has had one of his tunes played on a prestigious radio show.
Kenton Duffield, of Acklington, had his track Doubledecker aired on BBC Radio's Dave Pearce Dance Anthems show.

The tune had been picked from a selection of hundreds submitted from other hopefuls to be played on the show's unsigned producers slot.

And for 36 year-old Kenton, it was a huge achievement after making music for 20 years.

He said: "I was chuffed at finally getting national airplay.

"Two of my dreams have been to have a tune played on radio and played in a club. I have now got one of those boxes ticked.

"Music has been a hobby and passion of mine and it is great to have received recognition for that.

"It has been a huge boost."

As well as having his tune played, Kenton also spoke to Dave on air.

Kenton, who has his own property maintenance business, says his influences include Moby and Paul van Dyke.

He describes his own music as progressive but more melodic and tuneful.
