TWO crashes north of Alnwick, Northumberland, have closed the A1.
In the first incident, a man had to be cut from his car after a Peugeot 207 heading north was in collision with an Audi A4 at South Charlton.

The A1 was closed in both directions, although southbound traffic is currently being diverted via the old A1.

Four cars were involved in a separate crash further south towards Alnwick.

The Alnwick and Belford fire crews and two ambulances are in attendance.

Check back for further information.
