An Alnwick teenager who has been killed in a car crash has been named on Facebook as Peter Pringle.
It is believed that the lad is 17-years-of-age.

He was killed when he lost control of his red Vauxhall Corsa and collided with a tree.

Two male passengers were seriously injured and the rear seat passenger was thrown from the car.

The incident happened at 5.20pm, off the A697, on the Lemmington Bank road.

The tragedy follows the death of Sam Gattens, 17, who was killed less than a month ago when his car overturned and collided with two trees on the B6341 on the outskirts of Alnwick.

He was also driving a red Vauxhall Corsa.
