SUMMER is here and the bike thieves are on the prowl, with Northumbria Police urging cycle owners to lock up their property.
At least three were stolen from Amble over the last week, at Bisley Road, Edwin Street and Hauxley Way, while another was taken from a house near Swarland. All were taken from back gardens or yards.
