MORRIS Adamson has been crowned the North East's king of the bangers.
Morris, from Rothbury Family Butchers, was the regional winner of a nationwide search for Britain's best sausages in a competition to celebrate British Sausage Week.
His Cragside Cracker, which uses ingredients including rosemary and red onion, was a big hit with the judge, legendary cricket umpire Dickie Bird.
Morris won a prestigious Banger Award and received £150 to donate to the British Sausage Week charity, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
