Angler fined

AN angler was fined almost £100 for fishing with an unlicensed rod near Rothbury.
James Richard Pearson, of Biverfield Road, Prudhoe, pleaded guilty by letter to the offence which occurred on May 24 at Fontburn.

Pearson was fined £93 and ordered to pay £75 costs and a £15 surcharge at Alnwick Magistrates Court.
