AMERICAN air force F15 Eagle strike jets brought a rumble to the skies over north Northumberland today.
The fighter-bomber aircraft were seen flying circuits of Alnwick in pairs during the morning,

It is believed they may be linked to Exercise Pashtun Sabre, which has been taking place since November 9 at Otterburn Training Area.

This is a live fire exercise of pre-deployment training for 4 Mech Brigade, ahead of their mission to Afghanistan.

The exercise integrates live fire artillery assets with fast jets and helicopters to fully train and equip deploying personnel for the complex Battle Management issues they will encounter in theatre.
