THIRTEEN alcohol seizures, mostly from children in Amble, have taken place in the last week.
Police confiscated the alcohol as part of their north Northumberland crackdown – dubbed Operation Summer Holiday – on anti-social behaviour.

Two vehicles were issued with warning notices, two people with directions to leave and a number of people were arrested for public order offences in Alnwick and Amble.

And a number of youths were arrested following criminal damage in The Park in Alnwick.

Inspector Sue Peart also said that Amble pub Pier 81 had signed up to a responsible management agreement.

She gave credit to the licensee and said she was in the process of finalising agreements with other premises.
