£20,000 haul

POLICE are appealing for information after more than £20,000 of equipment was stolen from Chatton Trout Fishery.

Between 4pm on Thursday and 3am on Friday, thieves broke into a lodge building on the site, which is just outside Chatton, and stole more than 25 specialist fishing rods, a large quantity of polo shirts, fleeces, fishing equipment bags, boxes of fishing flies and fishing lines.

The polo shirts and fleeces have the round logo of Chatton Trout Fishery on them and the jacket is a specialist Gore-Tex fishing jacket by Greys GRXi.

The fishing rods are by Greys, G-Loomis and Sharpe’s of Aberdeen.
