£1m for play

CHILDREN are to get new and improved facilities for play, thanks to a successful bid by Northumberland County Council for over £1million of Government funding.
The council is one of 43 local authorities chosen to become a PlayBuilder authority and be granted additional funding.
It will receive £1.m over three years to transform and create 20-25 play areas countywide.
