Super slimmers from across north Northumberland have lost 38 stones between them.

The women all attend Slimming World groups in Alnwick, Amble, Felton, Widdrington, Wooler, Seahouses and Berwick and are part of the Borders team.

All of the women were winners in their group’s annual Woman of the Year competition in August and several went through to the district finals.

Alison Moon, team developer for the Borders team and consultant at the Felton Slimming World group, said: “Each of these women really deserves to have won our group’s Woman of the Year final.

“I’m so proud of all of them. They’ve made enormous changes to the way they shop, cook and eat and stuck with those changes.

“They should be proud of themselves too, not only because of their brilliant weight losses but also the way that they’ve supported each other and the rest of the members in the groups.

“Every member in our groups across the Borders team is a winner in the end because they’ve won the true prize of losing weight and changing their lives forever.”
