Voices ring out in Amble

A NEW singing group is looking to attract more members.

Amble Community Singers was established in the autumn, following a series of workshops and singing days in the summer, and gave its first performance at The Alnwick Garden in December.

The group is for anyone who loves to sing and Flora Peden Smith will lead the choir, teaching a wide range of interesting material.

All songs will be taught by ear, so participants do not need to be able to read music or have any experience of singing in a choir.

The spring term starts on January 20 and weekly sessions take place on Thursdays between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, at St Cuthbert’s Parish Church Hall, Dovecote Street, Amble.

Fees per session are £5 full price, £4.50 concessions.

Anyone booking in advance for the whole term will get one session free.
