Following the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund in October last year, the volunteers at Photo Memories Organisation have launched their new website and book in order to share this unique collection with everyone in the North East.

The new book, Nostalgic Views of the North–third selection, features images of Alnwick, Bamburgh, Brinkburn, Chillingham, Cragside, Holy Island, Otterburn and Warkworth among others from across the region.

The above pictures are just three of those from the collection, which contains more than 150,000 images.

The top left photo shows children at play by the Keenshaw Burn in the Bilsmoor Valley, Upper Coquetdale, while the one below that shows a lifeboat launch at Holy Island.

The bottom right picture is a drawing of the Bondgate Tower in Alnwick.
