Winners have been announced in a special photography competition organised by an Alnwick-based business.

To mark National Photography Month, Phill and Doreen Ginger, who run PD Quick on Bondgate Within, invited people to submit the pictures they felt best represented Alnwick and district.

The winner of the adult section was David Daley, whose image was printed onto a large canvas as a prize.

The 11-18 age group was won by 14-year-old Bella Spence, who was on holiday from Plymouth, while the runner-up was Marian Hughes, aged 13.

The under-11 category was won by Owen Douglas, eight, and the runner-up was 10-year-old Honey Hughes.

Doreen said: “We plan to make this an annual event.”
