Belford, History Society

Belford and District Local History Society meets on Wednesday, November 30, at 7.30pm, at the Community Club in West Street, Belford.

This month’s speaker is John Almond, whose talk is entitled Castles, Cobels and Coal – The Northumberland Coast.

John’s talk will take the form of a ‘perambulation along the coast, looking at fortifications, fishing and the extractive industries’, with a particular slant to North Northumberland.

Entrance for members is free, non-members £2.
