Have your say

CAR–CRASH victim Walter Nelson has entered into a real life ‘time warp’ and is baffling doctors.

He’s told them that he is 33 years old and lives in Amble. But he is twice that age and hasn’t lived in the Northumberland fishing village for almost 30 years!

No one can convince 67-year-old Walter otherwise – including his doctors at Stoke-on-Trent, where he settled with his family 24 years ago. Now the Gazette has been called in to jog Walter’s memory and convince him once and for all he is living in the 1980s.

His time-warp nightmare began last August when he was involved in a serious road accident.

He lay in a coma for several weeks and doctors feared for his life. He rallied, but since regaining consciousness he has been convinced that he is living in the 1950s – and that he is abroad.

His daughter, Mrs M Taylor, of Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent, contacted the Gazette for help.
