Windfarm fans being conned
Published Date:

I CAN just about put up with the wind turbines at the entrance to Alnwick – they are in a brown field site, surrounded by other modern industrial buildings so they can't really make the landscape any worse.
What does interest me however is that at the time of writing (Sunday) they have not turned one revolution between them for the past three days, nor have they done so on many days since they were first installed, nor will they until this anticyclone moves on.
When will the supporters of the plans to plaster some of Britain's most magnificent scenery with hundreds of turbines four times larger than those in Alnwick, realise that they are being totally and utterly conned – financially, ideologically and scientifically?
