ON Friday, May 2, at 9am in the Council Sports Centre we had the count for the election to the new unitary authority to replace democracy in Northumberland.
On the same day at 1.30pm in the post, I received from the Conservative member for the Longhoughton Division, David Rixon, his leaflet telling me what he would do if elected.
If we are being told after the event what chance have we for democracy in Northumberland?
Mrs E M Huggins, Embleton
