I JUST want to say thank-you from my heart to all the people who gave Sam a truly memorable farewell, a lot of flowers and cards. I didn't see many of you on the day, it's like tunnel-vision, but was told who was there.
I'd like to thank Emily from the undertakers, Rachel from St Michael's, the Duchess's School Choir, David, Dale and MJ, who spoke in church, and also all the golfers, footballers and sportsmen, and all Sam's teachers.
I would also like to thank Northumbria Police family liaison officers and finally all the staff at Blackmore's for coping on a difficult day.
All these young people of Alnwick are great – like a big family they came together at times of need.
All you young drivers, please take extra care for your parents and Sam's sake. No more heartaches please.
