HAVING read the recent 'Bare Facts' issued by Berwick upon Tweed Borough Council to all residents in the borough, I must make comment on the item regarding the improvements made to the Seahouses Seafield car park.
I commend and congratulate them and the Lord Crewe Charitable Trust on the work carried out.

When it rains the new swimming pools they have created are absolutely marvellous, especially if one is a duck or swan – not so good if you are a pedestrian, motorist or car if you are not wearing waders, because the puddles are far too deep.

Allowing for the fact there were never enough facilities for car/coach parking (especially at times like Sundays and bank holidays) in the village I particularly appreciate the new flower beds which have used up even more valuable spaces, their wonderful prolific growth of weeds even surpass those my husband can manage.

So finally, once more, Berwick upon Tweed Borough Council, thanks for using my, and all residents', money we are finding hard it to find on such a wondrous display to assist this village in its tourist industry.
PV Orrin,
Stone Close, Seahouses
