ANGELA and I were married on Sunday, November 2, in Longhoughton and hired one of the Dreadnought coaches to take us and about 40 guests into Alnwick.
The bus arrived as requested, on time, with two attendants. It was furnished inside with flowers and white ribbon on the outside making the whole thing really nice.
We were served champagne during an enjoyable journey into Alnwick for our receptio
n.
We would both like to say thank you Claire and staff at Dreadnought Coaches for a job well done – a most enjoyable experience and first-class service.

l I WOULD like to thank the people of the Glendale area for their support of the Poppy Appeal.
The Wooler area raised more than £3,000 this is due to the band of volunteers who collected tirelessly in this area, some for over 50 years. New volunteers enjoyed the experience also. Support for the British Legion is both generous and heart-warming as people felt at the concert given by the Glendale Choral Society. Our coffee morning was brilliantly supported also.
Mr Brown and all the unsung heroes, Wooler
l AS Poppy Appeal Organiser, I am pleased to report that the sum raised this year exceeded £3,100. This excellent result was due to the efforts of the collectors and the generosity of local business and the population of Coquetdale.
The continued need to support ex-servicemen and women and their families does not diminish and I am most grateful to everyone concerned.

Local Poppy Appeal Organiser,

l THE Duke's Middle School would like to thank all the staff, parents and pupils who managed to raise a staggering £1,704.60 for Children in Need.
The School Sleepover and Non-Uniform Day held on Friday, November 14, had a target of £1,000 but the pupils and their families have exceeded all expectations. Well done to you all.
