A FEW years ago we had a collection for tins of food suitable to use at the People's Kitchen in Newcastle.
This was organised by the RAF padre at the time and was a great success.

I have a friend who helps with this charity and she tells me they are often short of toiletries and meat for sandwich fillings.

If anyone could help out I have arranged with Longhough-ton and Lesbury Post Offices as collection points or the back of any of our churches.

Things needed are tinned meats or fish for sandwiches, any toiletries suitable for men or women including sanitary for women.

Larger items such as warm coats, sleeping bags, blankets, hats or scarves could be collected. My number is 01665 577110.
Ann Anderson,
Boulmer
