MAY I make use of this page to thank all those involved in making Longhoughton's first Play Day so enjoyable for all the children and families who attended.
The Longhoughton Village Development Trust, along with their partners Longhoughton Rangers Youth Football Club, representatives of the RAF, Waves out-of-school care and children from the Duchess's High School, held this fun event on August 15 on a rare dry day.

Special thanks should go to Lionheart Radio and to Richard Wood's Forest School for adding to the atmosphere. Lastly, I would like to mention the unflagging enthusiasm and energy of Kate Hunter from ADC who threw herself into making this a great day. We can't wait to get going for next year and asking the kids what they want to try.
