The hosts had the first chance of the night when Tom Anderson's shot was saved by the Cramlington keeper.
Cr
amlington had the next chance but Amble stopper Cameron Roper saved well.
Amble's Andy Flanighan then knocked a great ball over the top for Jason Imeson, playing the ball to Callum Fenwick, but a Cramlington defender cleared the danger.
Fenwick had another chance moments later, creating some space his shot went just over the bar.
Amble finally broke the deadlock midway through the first half when Jason Imeson and the goal-keeper went for a 50-50 ball with Imeson showing his determination and strength to get there first.
The ball rebounded off the keeper for Adam Jobson who supported well to put in the rebound from the edge of the box for a 1-0 lead. Jonathan Fenwick got in a good header for Amble, while Cameron Roper made another good save.
Andy Flanighan knocked another good ball over the top of the Cramlington defence for Callum Fenwick who just put his shot wide of the goal.
As half-time approached Cramlington scored the equalizer.
Max Anderson worked hard down the right-hand side providing cover for the full-back and again showing a great willingness to work and hassle the visiting defenders.
James Oliver had a chance just after the break with the keeper saving well again.
Brad Little played the ball up to Tom Anderson, with Oliver receiving the ball back to fire over the bar.
Matty Stephenson and Jonathan Fenwick stood firm again in the heart of our defence while Flanighan and Oliver gave another solid performance at the back while supporting well upfront.
Nathan Potts and Brad Little worked tirelessly in midfield giving another good display in the middle of the park. Fenwick then had another chance when Jason Imeson played him in but again their keeper came out on top.
Imeson again played the ball this time to James Aston who in turn played the ball up front, only for the keeper to come off his line to collect the ball.
Aston who was playing down the left-hand side gave his all in terms of energy, commitment and desire battling well and creating havoc among their defenders pulling them out of position.
Jamie Stanford playing in central midfield provided us with five across the middle to out muscle the away team who looked very dangerous at times going forward.
Aston then received the ball inside the box with his back to goal, he turned and shot quickly with his left foot and scored a cracker of a goal into the top corner of the net scoring his fourth of the season and another one past Cobras as he done earlier in the season, to eventually claim all three points on the night and the double over a strong Cramlington side.
