North Northumberland Golf League
THE annual end-of-season tournament was held over the Alnwick course on Sunday in changeable conditions.

It proved a highly successful day for the host club who won all three competitions – the President's Bowl (gross), Advertiser Trophy (net) an
d Rothbury Trophy (teams).

The President's Bowl was strongly contested with only two shots separating the leading eight players.

Victory went to Alnwick's John Eggleston on 72 with four players returning 73 and three on 74.

Daniel Harrison took the Advertiser Trophy with 73-5-68 and Alnwick completed a hat-trick with a comfortable victory in the four-man team event.

Leading returns: President's Bowl: 72 J Eggleston (Alnwick); 73 M Carss (Dunstanburgh); 73 H Sutherland (Alnmouth); 73 P Sanderson (Bamburgh); 73 D Harrison (Alnwick); 74 S Jackson (Magdalene Fields); 74 A Tate (Alnwick); 74 M Dawson (Bamburgh).

Advertiser Trophy (net): 73-5-68 D Harrison; 74-5-69 A Tate; 73-3-70 H Sutherland; 72-2-70 J Eggleston; 74-3-71 M Dawson; 76-5-71 J Young (Belford); 75-4-71 R Balmbra (Warkworth). Robert Balmbra holed in one at the 159-yard fourth.
