A young man who had played in the league for some years and had progressed into the men's team at Percy Wood and was steadily being involved in the county set up.

Sam was killed in the early hours of Sunday, June 14 when he overturned his red Vauxhall Corsa outside Alnwick.

The popular 17-year-old wanted to become a professional golfer and the future looked bright.
