AMBLE Football Club eased into the second round of the Amateur Cup with a comfortable win over Newcastle BT.
The Seasiders' 8-1 cup romp avenged the 1-0 league defeat at the hands of the Newcastle outfit at the start of the season.
Four goals from Ben Davidson and a double from Carl Sayer helped guide Amble through the first round.
And it was a result which delighted Amble boss Ryan Jobson.
He said: "We needed a moral raising win and everything we hit today appeared to fly into the net.
"The match produced some fantastic goals as well as providing entertaining football by both teams."

Amble added a second goal four minutes later when Sayer dribbled past three players and planted a 30yard strike into the far corner of the net.
The homeside extended the lead four minutes later with a perfect cross from Megson being headed home by Davidson from 12 yards.
Stand-in keeper Derek Wilkinson released the ball to Shaun Jobson to outpace the visitors midfield and release Davidson. The striker grabbed his hat-trick with a 25yard strike into the roof of the net for the homeside's fourth after 28 minutes.
David Whenray partnered Davidson as the offensive pairing and had a great effort saved on the half hour but visiting keeper Craig Gilbert was powerless to prevent an edge of the box strike from Whenray giving the homeside a fifth goal on the stroke of half-time.
The Seasiders started the second period with a flurry with Whenray hitting the bar after 30 seconds and Davidson having the rebound saved.
Teenagers Ethan Miller and Cory Robertson produced impressive performances alongside Declan Armstrong and Sayer and 16-year-old Robertson added a sixth goal with a 10yard finish.
Centre-back pairing Andy Timson and Michael Straker snuffled out the visitors attack and Timson produced a great run out of midfield to slip the ball to Davidson. The striker produced another great 20yard finish to record his fourth and Amble's seventh goal after 68 minutes.
The Seasiders then introduced Connor Miller, Craig Keilty and Sam Palin and maintained the momentum.
BT grabbed a consolation goal with Anthony Bruce scoring from close range after 75 minutes and Palin fired wide at the other end. The homeside wrapped up the game with two minutes remaining with Sayer nut-megging the defender and powering a great 20yard finish into the far corner.
