First time I have ever wrote a review about somewhere.I came to the bay horse yesterday with my son, partner and Nanna.I work in a pub so know all about customer service etc. What can I say your staff are excellent nothing is a problem very chatty and welcoming.I often eat out and can honestly say the food we had was scrummy and amazing value for money!People are quick to make complaints but should say when they have amazing service which we did!CAnt wait to visit again and a massive pat on the back to your staff on a Wednesday afternoon!!!

Giving place top marks for the food every time we go there anything we have comes to us hot and tasty they also do have special night on with curry night being very popular, soft drinks for the driver a little pricey as it is out the way slightly for getting there but bottles of wine from 6 or 7 quid can't complain at that, only thing at fault is when they are busy you are waiting a while and once was forgotten about had to remind someone twice about our food still came through hot and tasty

We eat here every few Saturdays, and the food is excellent (although we're a bit one dimensional and usually go for the mixed grill, sirloin steak or all day breakfast) and service seems to have improved - not so long ago they used to have a chef who went into meltdown if more than twenty people were sat down to eat.  Food would take ages and occasionally they would stop taking orders - I don't know if they've given him a kick up the backside or kicked him out altogether, but service is so much quicker now, and definitely worth the wait even when it takes a while longer.
There are plenty of parking spaces, and the staff are nice - if you're like us and always fancy a good bit grub when you're out and about at the weekend, you won't be disapppointed.

An extremely popular pub located within easy walking distance of the Collingwood and Southfield housing estates. With a large private car park, it is also ideal if you are have a friend who is willing to be the designated driver! This is part of the Sizzling Pubs chain and it serves good pub food, which is really good value and is often on special offers, such as two meals for a fiver. There are also good drinks promotions. The pub is fairly family friendly, especially if you are having food and is rather busy at weekends. This pub is ideal on a summer day as it has a pleasant outdoor seating area. Located just off the cycle path, it is ideal for cyclists looking for a swift half - just don’t drink too much!

A good choice for a family pub which serves food. It is a Sizzling Pub and there are always good offers on their food range. It is in a pleasant environment on the edge of the housing estate and there is outdoor seating when the weather is good. However, there are no children’s play facilities either indoor or outdoor which is the downside. There is plentiful parking and the pub itself is clean and pleasant inside.

The Bay Horse is a favourite pub of mine to enjoy a tasty meal at very reasonable prices. They always have a different range of drinks and new items on the menu everytime I go. This is a very relaxed pub with quite a nice outlook and very comfort seating areas. If your looking for somewhere to get a very cheap meal and feed the whole family, then this is definetely a pub to visit. If you like a little bit more of a buzzy environment then there is always the bar where you have a choice of darts, game machines or pool. There is adequate parking available and its positioned directly on the bus route into Newcastle City centre, so a great place to start your night out in.

A clean residential place with a warm aura. Really nice food with confident and experienced staff. Resonable prices and a family area.
