A real gem of a shop. The staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. In the past, they have ordered items specially for us, and the butcher will cut and prepare meat to your specification.

The quality of the meat is outstanding and the prize-winning sausages are the best I have ever had. We regularly buy our beef and pork joints here. It is particularly refreshing to be able to ask for extra beef fat when buying a beef joint and this is always provided free.

The shop stocks a good selection of other products, including some wonderful ales from local micro breweries. The coffee shop is well worth a visit too, if only for the scrumptious fruit scones. The prices are more than reasonable, particulary when you consider the high quality of the products.

There is a children's play area, with various livestock on view and which is  also well resourced with pedal tractors and other play-things  and which has  good hand washing facilities. Our grandchildren love it.

Go here a lot now. Their own meat and local veg. milk, eggs. Its the best value farm shop in the area and some of their meat  is cheaper than the local Tesco!
Great coffee shop, too - my mother's started taking her friends there so it must be good. Good range of products and v. friendly staff.

I have just been to Moorhouse coffe shop I am a regular for coffee and cheese scones which are usually nice sometimes I have lunch, the change of menu and the change in food is very disappointing, we had a hot pork sandwich £5.40 now in a normal size bun no apple sauce no stuffing and no crisps therefore an expensive sandwich to what it was, we also had a burgher with garnish £3.75 again shrunk in size and then had to pay £1 for some coleslaw which used to be included! Poor value now im afraid

I'd give this place 5 stars if it weren't for the service which can be pretty unfriendly at times. Excellent selection of meat and friendly helpful butchers. I make my own sausages and they are always helful and will cut meat especially for me. The other groceries are good if a bit specialised, the teashop is ok handy from the A1 but the food is nothing special.

I love this place. The farm shop sells their own meat, which is amazing (particularly the bacon) and in addition to this, they sell loads of other local produce. There’s a friendly cafe attached to it as well, and last time I was there, despite being run off their feet, they found time to get some food that my little boy could feed to their pet pigs, which made his day.
