ALNWICK was rocked by the sounds of Queen on Saturday night.
The Music of Queen – A Rock and Symphonic Spectacular – proved to be A Kind of Magic.

And the thousands of people who braved the mud and the rain had a welly good time.

The Pastures showcase, following in the footsteps of the sell-out Jools Holland and Magic of the Eighties concerts, boasted a full rock band as well as stars from the West End smash hit musical We Will Rock You, combined with the 60-piece English National Orchestra.

One concert goer, who got down and dirty to the music of Queen, said: "It's been a great night, and we have enjoyed ourselves, come rain or shine."

Meanwhile, many concert fans donned moustaches and vests to pay tribute to the iconic Freddie Mercury,

On stage, the talented quartet of singers – Gina Murray, Kerry Ellis, Mig Ayesa and Peter Eldridge – sang all the favourites, and more, from Queen's impressive repertoire.

They wrapped up the concert with a magical performance of Bohemian Rhapsody, before an encore of Don't Stop Me Now.

A spectacular fireworks display ensured the night ended with a bang.

More pictures and review to follow.
