A milestone in the history of Alnwick was marked at the weekend when the Hotspur Festival celebrated 700 years of the Percy family in the Northumberland town.
Hundreds turned out for the celebrations which included a parade through the town for Armed Forces Day with school children from all over the county with their specially designed banners, medieval entertainment from the Hotspur School of Defence, Gaith and many more.
