ALNWICK'S first ever beer festival was a huge success.
Alnwick Beer Festival, organised by Alnwick and District Round Table was held alongside the food festival at Alnwick Cricket club. Visitors on both Friday and Saturday nights packed out the club.

Garry Hodgson, one of the organisers, said: "The response from sponsors and visitors to the event was great. We definitely have an event that we can add to and make it an annual one."

The best selling ale was Tyneside Blonde, closely followed by Round Table Ale, both made by Hadrian and Border brewery.

Round Table Ale was made especially for the event and Andy Burrows from Hadrian and Border Brewery put in a lot of hard work for the event which the Round Table greatly appreciate.

Garry added: "Over the weekend we had lots of great people through the doors that made the event fun. The cricket club were excellent and I have to thank them very much."
